Our Story

At Tortoise Cakes we are passionate about creating fine art cakes, with every mindful brush stroke of our signature buttercream. Our cakes are artistic in nature, textural by design, and composed of rich fresh ingredients. You will often discover in our work, an array of unexpected subtle elements in addition to our modern cake designs. Rather than throwing more sugar into the batter, the luxury ingredients we use lend a depth and sense of whimsical, that is difficult to achieve for other conventional mass-produced cakes.

Our ambition is to bring the vision of your special event to life in our truly one-of-a-kind cake style. In doing so, we hope to create an ambiance of sentiment, warmth, gratitude, and community, through the universal languages of cake and art. At Tortoise Cakes, we know just how invigorating the right cake can impact the overall mood of a celebration, and we would be so honored to help design a memorable experience for you and your guests. We are incredibly driven about what we do, and the innovative ways in which we can use cake to beautifully express your story.

We are so happy you’re considering working with us; for what we’re confident will be one of your most unforgettable celebrations. Shouldn’t your cake show the significance of that? We believe it should!
