At least a month in advance will do for celebration cakes. But we can book up months in advance for wedding season—March through October. To be safe, get in touch with us as soon as you know the date of your party. For wedding cakes, most clients book us as soon as they know they’re engaged—that way they’re much more likely to secure their wedding date.

Yes, an initial 50% deposit of the total amount of your order is necessary to secure it and its due date.

All visa and/or mastercard for payment are accepted. 

Yes, we do charge for any and all design work in addition to our base prices. The cost of design work varies. Ingredients used, time, and skill, are factored into determining appropriate compensation for making your cake, cupcakes, and/or macarons, a work of art! 

No, we don't operate out of a store front. We are by-appointment only. Since we make everything to order, we're not open to the public as a walk-in place to buy sweet treats. When placing an order for pick up or delivery, you will receive a confirmation email that includes the public address for where and when to pick up your order, or be present for delivery. 

Yes, we do offer delivery for $1.99 per mile to said address from our studio based in Elko, NV. Longer deliveries are determined on a case by case basis. *Note: all 24" tall cakes and above must be delivered. Due to the liability of a cake toppling, or having to be stacked on site of the celebration location. 

Yes! You can also order cupcakes and/or macarons.

Tortoise Cakes does not sell cookies, cake pops, pies, breads, or any other kind of pastry.

We do offer a refund, if you should cancel your order within seven (7) days of its collection date. Please note that there is a 15% order processing fee that is not refundable. For more information check out our Terms & Conditions.
